Maintain fiscal budget and financial planning.
 
Building Maintenance
 
Keeps clubhouse in working order; oversees repairs and snow removal.
Event Mailing-List Coordinator
 
Updates mailing list; assists in sending out event mailers.
Express Good Will
 
Provides assistance and support to members; as well as, Elm Grove residents, during a time of special
need.
Finance
 
Considers all financial matters and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors for approval.
Financial Review   
 
Reviews the financial records of the Club.
Grants and Donations
 
Provides assistance and support to members; as well as, Elm Grove residents, during a time of special
need.
Historian  
 
Photographs Club activities/events and compiles Club scrapbooks for Archives & the President.
Hostess
 
In charge of table set-up, catering services, and clean-up at the monthly membership meetings
House Management    
 
Inventories and replenishes Club supplies and utensils; conducts clubhouse familiarization tours during the
year.
Interior Decorations
 
Chooses and maintains all interior decorations of the clubhouse.
Landscape
 
Oversees maintenance of clubhouse grounds; hires lawn service; in charge of seasonal exterior
decorations.
Membership
 
Recruits new members; maintains membership records; sends out renewal notices; collects dues.
Memorial Day Parade
 
Management of Memorial Day activities
 
Newsletter
 
Prepares and distributes monthly Club newsletter to members
Nominating
 
Prepares list of nominees for office.
Parliamentarian
 
Rules on parliamentary procedures at all Club
meetings.
 
Planning  
 
Considers current and long-range maintenance needs of the clubhouse.
Program
 
Schedules programs for the Club’s monthly meetings.        
Publicity
 
Promotes all Club’s activities to the print media.
Rentals
 
Facilitates rentals and schedules all usage of the clubhouse premises.
Rules   
 
Interprets and revises the Club’s rules and by-laws.
Santa Breakfast
 
A joint activity with the Elm Grove Junior Guild. Gently used toys and children’s clothes are collected and
donated to needy families during the Christmas season.
Telephone
 
Makes reminder calls to members; activated with President’s approval.
Webmaster  
 
Creates, updates and maintains the data and format of the Club’s website.
Welcoming
 
Provides serving table decorations at membership meetings; assigns greeters at the door; assists in
clearing up after the meeting.
Woman to Women
 
Supports organizations and programs that address the needs and concerns of women and children.
ACTIVITY GROUPS
 
Bean Bag
 
Meets when needed for help with decorations for club events.
Book Review I
 
Meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month (except July and August). Meetings are held in members’ homes
from 7:00-9:30pm. Everyone is welcome.
Book Review II
 
Meets the 3rd Thursday of the month from 1:00-2:30p.m. A guest reviewer is invited to each meeting;
members don’t need to read the book prior to meeting.
Bridge Marathon
 
Players mutually agree upon meeting dates which are set at the first meeting in September.
Bus Trips
 
Day trips to a matinee play; shopping in downtown Chicago; museum visits; and more. A great way to
spend a day with friends.
Chorus
 
Meets at the clubhouse 9:00-11:00a.m.; every Wednesday; late September to early December. Performs
at the EGWC Christmas luncheon, area clubs and nursing homes.
Movie-goers
 
Enjoy the movies with friends from the Woman’s Club. Every last Tuesday; alternating matinee and
evening showings.
Potluck
 
A potluck dinner held for an informal meeting of members.
Yoga
 
A new offering to members. Learn yoga principles geared to strengthening both body and mind. Meets 5
consecutive weeks per course; every Thursday, 11:30am - 1:00pm; clubhouse.
