- Please arrive by 6:45 pm to get situated on your mat
- The yoga practice begins at 7:00 pm
What is yoga? Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice that originated in India. The goal of practicing yoga is to attain tranquility in the mind and spirit and make this goal achievable by means of yoga poses and meditation.
Why practice yoga? Engaging in regular yoga practice brings numerous benefits to your mind and body. Some of the benefits include increased strength, flexibility, and muscle tone, in addition to improved mental clarity, pain relief, and a reduction in stress levels and blood pressure.
What can I expect in the class? I will guide you through a series of movements such as standing poses, reclining poses, and twists, with modifications provided for all levels of experience. You do not have to do every pose or hold poses for
as long as I do. It is more than OK to break poses early or take a break any time you need to. There are no “shoulds” or “should nots” in yoga. I want to make this accessible for everyone!
What equipment do I need? Wear comfortable clothing that provides you with the flexibility to move around. Bring a yoga mat, yoga props (optional), and a water bottle if you'd like. *Contact me if you need to borrow a yoga mat.
